Recycling and waste management specialist, NWH Group, has won a three-year contract for waste disposal across a number of waste streams for NHS Dumfries & Galloway.
A spokesperson at NHS Dumfries & Galloway said: “The contract will see NWH Group’s involvement from the initial collection of waste at the point of production, to on-site transfer and consolidation and off-site transportation, treatment, and disposal. To ensure compliance and traceability, all waste streams covered will be meticulously tracked through NWH Group’s advanced end-to-end operating system.”
Kelly Lock, Commercial Lead at NWH Group, added: “Through optimised handling, increased recycling, and effective management of complex waste streams, our involvement will play an important part in supporting NHS Dumfries & Galloway as it works towards achieving the Scottish Government’s targets of reaching net zero by 2040.”
