Test Valley Borough Council has appointed Stannah Lifts to deliver comprehensive lift maintenance services across its full property portfolio, covering six sites in Hampshire.
The council selected Stannah Lifts based on its extensive engineer coverage across the region and a proven track record for rapid and reliable call outs. With key public buildings such as Chantry centre and public car parks, 24/7 support was also essential and a key factor in the council’s decision.
Under the agreement terms, Stannah Lifts will maintain a mix of passenger, platform and goods lifts from multiple manufacturers such as Otis, Elevate UK and Temple. Stannah will also implement full preventative maintenance programmes to reduce breakdowns, improve safety and extend equipment lifespan.
Leader of Test Valley Borough Council, Councillor Phil North, said: “We’re delighted to be working with Stannah Lifts to ensure our lifts operate efficiently. This new partnership with a renowned local firm means we will be in a good position to identify problems before they arise and respond much more quickly when there are any issues. This will help us to provide the best service and ensure issue-free access to our buildings.”
Jason Adams, Southern England Branch Manager at Stannah, commented: “We are delighted to support Test Valley Borough Council with a tailored maintenance solution that improves reliability and safety across their sites. With a strong company presence in the Test Valley and Andover area, we are proud to bring local expertise and exceptional service to this partnership.”
According to the 2026 UK Facilities Management Market Research Report by askporter, facilities management professionals want clear, verifiable evidence of work being delivered, with teams that can communicate progress in real time. This requires technology that is affordable, intuitive, and quick to adopt.
Yet the report found that:
Over three quarters of FM professionals (76 per cent) experience operational inefficiencies caused by siloed software which results in a lack of real-time visibility.
Communications challenges lead to maintenance issues, with 73 per cent of teams being forced into reactive problem-solving on a weekly basis.
A worrying level of compliance gaps, with 44 per cent of admitting that half or less of their compliance tasks are tracked and automated within their systems.
Closing this gap requires the establishment of transparent and consistent communications using affordable software that gives FM teams the ability to track, evidence and improve their services.
This webinar provides a valuable overview of the main findings of the report by askporter followed by a panel discussion by FM thought leaders on practical, strategic solutions that can help close this communications gap.
