Trio of housing maintenance contract renewals for Novus

Novus Property Solutions has renewed its long-standing housing maintenance partnerships with Trent & Dove, Bromford, and Newark and Sherwood District Council.

The three renewed contracts have a combined value of up to £48 million over their terms.

Novus specialises in reactive and planned maintenance solutions, compliance, passive fire protection works and retrofit programmes for social housing clients.

Works are already underway across all three renewed contracts, which encompass a broad range of services from kitchens and bathrooms to roofing and external works.

Over the next five years, Novus will deliver an extensive external and communal works programme for Trent & Dove, including planned roofing refurbishments, external cyclical decorations and repairs, and the refreshing of communal areas for residents. Since securing this renewal, Novus has already carried out a soft re-fresh mobilisation, setting a strong pace for continued delivery. The contract was awarded via an open tender and will follow the same partnering contract format that has proved successful between Novus and Trent & Dove over the last five years.

Novus will also continue its dedicated roofing programme for Bromford, delivering planned roofing refurbishments including converting flat roofs to pitched roofs across the housing stock over the renewed five-year agreement. This contract, awarded under PfH Capital Works DPS Lot 8 Roofing, covers both North and South Lots. The repeat selection by Bromford highlights its faith in Novus’ expertise and track record, borne out through consistent delivery and reliability.

Additionally Newark and Sherwood District Council has once again selected Novus to provide kitchens and bathrooms maintenance across 250 properties following the previous three years of successful collaboration. Awarded via Westworks DPS procurement tool and continuing on a 1+2 year term basis, the contract underscores Novus’ reputation as a trusted partner for essential housing services.

Commenting, Novus’ Head of Operations, Gary Clay, said: “Retaining and renewing major contracts like these is testament to the hard work and dedication of all our teams. Above all, it demonstrates our clients’ enduring trust and confidence in our ability to deliver and their satisfaction in our service. I’m proud of what we’ve achieved during earlier contracts and look forward to what we’ll accomplish together in this next phase as we continue to deliver vital property maintenance services to our valued clients.”

Workspace management: One-size-fits-all booking systems don’t work anymore

The way we work has changed – yet, many organisations are still relying on rigid, one-size-fits-all tools to manage desks and meeting rooms, according to a new study from workplace management solutions provider, Matrix Booking.

Spreadsheets, calendars, and generic booking software may have worked once, but they’re struggling to keep pace with today’s flexible, hybrid workforce. The result? Wasted time, frustrated employees, and expensive underutilised space.

Matrix Booking’s new study, ‘One-size-fits-all booking systems don’t work for today’s workforce’, explores why current systems are falling short – and how organisations can reimagine workspace management to boost efficiency, employee experience, and cost savings.
