Property management and compliance company, Velway, has secured a three-year contract extension to continue delivering total facilities management services at Ideagen’s 28,000 sq ft global headquarters in Ruddington, Nottingham.
Velway has worked in partnership with global technology provider, Ideagen, since the business first occupied the headquarters building in 2019, supporting the organisation through a comprehensive, integrated FM service.
Ideagen delivers innovative, best-in-class software solutions across regulated and high-compliance industries, including aviation, financial services, life sciences, healthcare and manufacturing. Its Nottingham headquarters plays a pivotal role in supporting global operations, collaboration and engagement with stakeholders from across the world.
Under the extended agreement, Velway will continue to provide a full range of services including reactive works, planned maintenance, statutory compliance, risk assessments, asset lifecycle management, cleaning, keyholding and security. The contract also includes project works, facilities management inspections, and the provision of a 24/7 helpdesk supported by a computer aided facilities management (CAFM) system and secure online document storage, ensuring visibility, efficiency and compliance across the site.
Ben Dorks, CEO at Ideagen, said:
“How our colleagues feel the moment they walk through the door sets the tone for their whole day. For a safety and compliance software business like Ideagen, it matters that our own workplace reflects the same standards we help our customers achieve.
“Velway has helped us get that right since 2019, and as we continue to grow globally, it’s great to continue on that journey with a partner we know we can trust.”
Robin Harris, Managing Director of Velway, commented: “Securing this three-year contract extension is something we are extremely proud of and reflects the strength of the relationship we have built with Ideagen over the past five years. From day one, our focus has been on delivering a compliant, high-performing and well-presented headquarters that supports Ideagen’s people, culture and global ambitions.
“Ideagen is a market leader in compliance and governance software, and it is a privilege to support an organisation that places such a strong emphasis on quality, responsibility and continuous improvement, and that is commited to fostering a more sustainable, inclusive and responsible future. We look forward to continuing our work together and supporting Ideagen throughout the next phase of its journey.”
FMJ and Watco Webinar: Meeting compliance in a new culture of accountability
From January 2026, the Building Safety Regulator (BSR) formally separated from the Health and Safety Executive (HSE). Created under the Building Safety Act 2022 in response to the Grenfell Tower tragedy, the BSR is designed to raise safety standards across the built environment and introduce a stronger culture of accountability, transparency, and proactive risk management.
This shift places facilities managers in a more strategic safety assurance role – far beyond routine maintenance.
FMJ and Watco are hosting a webinar on 22 April at 11:00am to explore what this new regulatory landscape means for FMs. To register for the webinar click here.
