Servo appoints new MD to boost Rail and Infrastructure division

National multi-service provider, Servo Group, has appointed Tony Briffa to the role of Managing Director (Rail and Infrastructure) to drive forward its “thriving pipeline” within these sectors.

Briffa joins the London and Leeds-headquartered business with over 20 years of experience within the rail industry, which includes senior positions at Network Rail, Morgan Sindall, Vinci and Railsafe.

Speaking about his new appointment, Briffa said: “I am committed to broadening our focus beyond traditional labour supply towards integrating our core strengths—facilities management, security, cleaning, and welfare—into comprehensive solutions specifically tailored for the rail & infrastructure sector.

“Through strategic leadership, I intend to drive this transformation by leveraging a deep understanding of market dynamics and extensive technical expertise, redefining how Servo Group engages with the rail and infrastructure industry, capitalising on our established brand and strong reputation.

“This will enable us to deliver innovative, integrated service packages designed to meet the evolving requirements and complexities within the sector, while maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality.”

The rail sector, which already supports over 700,000 roles in the UK, is predicted to see a surge of job creation in the next few years due to ongoing Government commitments to improve the state of the industry, and recent research from the Railway Industry Association suggests there will be a 20 per cent increase in rail usage by 2035 further bolstering the sector’s growth.

Andy Haynes, Servo’s CEO said: “With Tony’s extensive expertise and excellent contacts within the rail and infrastructure sectors, we are confident that he’ll make a big impact driving forward Servo’s expansion and contributing to its growth trajectory. Tony’s experience will add to the existing relationships and accreditations that Servo have, to build a renewed strategic direction for our rail division at a time of peak growth for the industry.”
