Adept acquires Agilis to expand its service offer

Adept Corporate Services, one of the UK’s leading providers of bespoke operational services for mixed-use estates, Grade A office spaces and construction sites, has announced that it has acquired provider of specialist engineering and technical services, Agilis Lux Ltd.

As part of the acquisition agreement, the Agilis name will be retired with immediate effect and Agilis will fully integrate into Adept, creating a single, unified brand delivering security, cleaning, safety and technical services. This brand integration intends to provide clients with an enhanced level of service, supported by shared values, systems and operational infrastructure.

Adept currently employs over 500 people.  Agilis’ workforce will become employees of Adept under a TUPE agreement. The acquisition creates a new business with a turnover exceeding £12 million.  Adept is the only company in its industry sector to be a member of the Greater Manchester Good Employment Charter, and this commitment to high employment standards will extend to all Agilis employees as part of the integration.

Prior to the acquisition, Adept and Agilis have worked in tandem providing cleaning, security, specialist engineering and technical services to a range of high-profile schemes across the country including Spinningfields Estate, Leeds Dock and the People’s History Museum. Adept’s and Agilis’ individual client bases – which include Schroders, Aviva, Bonded Warehouse and Booking.com – will benefit from a centralised, expert team offering a full range of services and solutions for their assets.

Nick Cooper, Managing Director at Adept, said: “This acquisition isn’t just about growth.  It’s about bringing together two teams that share the same mindset and values.

“Agilis has a strong, established reputation in the marketplace and its integration under the Adept brand will offer our clients more opportunities for success and our employees greater access to a wide range of options for career development. We’re proud to be growing in a way that keeps people at the heart of everything we do.”

Workspace management: One-size-fits-all booking systems don’t work anymore

The way we work has changed – yet, many organisations are still relying on rigid, one-size-fits-all tools to manage desks and meeting rooms, according to a new study from workplace management solutions provider, Matrix Booking.

Spreadsheets, calendars, and generic booking software may have worked once, but they’re struggling to keep pace with today’s flexible, hybrid workforce. The result? Wasted time, frustrated employees, and expensive underutilised space.

Matrix Booking’s new study, ‘One-size-fits-all booking systems don’t work for today’s workforce’, explores why current systems are falling short – and how organisations can reimagine workspace management to boost efficiency, employee experience, and cost savings.
