Bellrock pledges support for the armed forces and veterans

Bellrock Property & Facilities Management Limited has pledged its support for the armed forces and veterans by signing the Armed Forces Covenant.

The Covenant is a promise to the nation that those who serve or have served in the armed forces, and their families will be treated fairly in society.

As a national provider of Property and Facilities services across a range of disciplines, Bellrock says it is especially well-placed to support one of the main facets of the Covenant, that is to support the employment of service leavers.

Announcing the pledge to mark Armed Forces Day on 24th June, Paul Bean, CEO said: “Signing the covenant underlines Bellrock’s commitment to the Armed Forces community who give so much to serve our county. Across Bellrock we are proud to have many ex-services colleagues whose transferable skills, experience and ethos of service brings huge value to us and our partnerships with customers. I hope that signing the Armed Forces Covenant will encourage more veterans to join us.”

Mike Smart, Managing Director Workplace and Compliance Services (Government, Public and PFI) at Bellrock, served in the RAF for 21 years. He said: “I’m proud that Bellrock is announcing this commitment to the Armed Forces community on the eve of Armed Forces Day.

“Transitioning to civilian life after a career in the services is a huge step. By demonstrating understanding of those challenges and providing support and career opportunities, companies like Bellrock can help smooth that journey. Bellrock is a dynamic, fast-moving company where people can develop and grow in a variety of technical and customer-focused roles. I would encourage service leavers looking for their next step to head to our careers site, explore the available opportunities, and get in touch.”
