Mid-Tech Services launches new division dedicated to air source heat pumps

HVAC specialists Mid-Tech Services has launched a new team dedicated to installations and maintenance of Air Source Heat Pumps for domestic and commercial customers, which will trade under the name: Heat From Air, offering a full turnkey service including customer aftercare.

The idea to step up the company’s renewable energy portfolio has been in the pipeline since late 2021, says Mid-Tech Services, who want to help prevent fuel poverty in the UK and future proof properties from the constant increase of gas prices.

Heat From Air’s Managing Director, Mike Dewey explained: “As a team, we’re very excited to be finally doing our bit in helping the UK push towards a net zero future. It was a no brainer when we first started planning this idea and to finally be here in the position to help people make the switch to renewable heating feels very rewarding and something we’re already proud of!”

Dewey continued: “We set up Heat From Air as this is something the whole team was and is passionate about and we know the demand is there. With the backing of manufacturers, we’re sure this will be a successful venture and help combat these gas price spikes. Early signs have been very promising and we’re confident this is a solid route to help clients in securing a more sustainable future.”

With the company’s first air source heat pump installations already on the books, a new website was launched in February 2023 along with social media channels. The division has a small, dedicated heat pump engineering team focusing on installations across the West Midlands initially, with the hope of expanding in the South-East as the year goes by.

Heat From Air have excellent relationships and direct contracts with major suppliers and are accredited by the UK’s leading compliance and regulatory organisations.
