In her new role, Hilton will take ownership of the development of Sodexo’s Mindful Active Programme, an educational tool that provides holistic health and wellbeing guidance to military personnel and those working in remote environments, helping them make informed choices and improve their overall lived experience.
She will also take on the leadership of Sodexo’s Military Advisory Group, a forum consisting of industry stakeholders and subject-matter experts working across health and wellbeing in the defence environment.
Hilton said of her new appointment: “This is an exciting time to join Sodexo’s Government and Energy & Resources business and help advance our nutritional strategy to improve the health and wellbeing of those we serve. I’m especially looking forward to collaborating with the wider segment team to deliver meaningful, evidence-based solutions that make a real difference.”
Paul Anstey, CEO (Government and Energy & Resources), Sodexo UK & Ireland said: “Kate’s appointment reinforces our commitment to delivering innovative, evidence-based wellbeing solutions for our clients and consumers. Her expertise in nutrition and workplace health will be instrumental in shaping programmes that not only meet the highest standards but also make a tangible difference to the communities we operate in.”
According to the 2026 UK Facilities Management Market Research Report by askporter, facilities management professionals want clear, verifiable evidence of work being delivered, with teams that can communicate progress in real time. This requires technology that is affordable, intuitive, and quick to adopt.
Yet the report found that:
Over three quarters of FM professionals (76 per cent) experience operational inefficiencies caused by siloed software which results in a lack of real-time visibility.
Communications challenges lead to maintenance issues, with 73 per cent of teams being forced into reactive problem-solving on a weekly basis.
A worrying level of compliance gaps, with 44 per cent of admitting that half or less of their compliance tasks are tracked and automated within their systems.
Closing this gap requires the establishment of transparent and consistent communications using affordable software that gives FM teams the ability to track, evidence and improve their services.
This webinar provides a valuable overview of the main findings of the report by askporter followed by a panel discussion by FM thought leaders on practical, strategic solutions that can help close this communications gap.
