Precision FM snaps up commercial roofing contractor

Leicester-based Precision FM has acquired commercial roofing contractor Internal Xternal Solutions, to further consolidate its commercial maintenance service division.

The acquisition expands Precision FM’s roofing repair and maintenance service which forms part of the company’s existing facilities management portfolio, which includes contract cleaning, hard FM, ground maintenance and security.

Commenting on the acquisition, Brij Thankey, CEO at Precision FM said: “We are delighted that through this deal we’ve been able to bring the Internal Xternal Solutions team into the Precision FM family. We have a long working relationship with them, and this acquisition will allow us to bring their wealth of knowledge and expertise within the commercial roofing sector to our comprehensive suite of facilities management services.

“The key to success with a FM business is putting the customer first and having skilled people who are able and committed to getting the job done. We are pleased to be able to strengthen our offering and pass on the cost savings we achieve through consolidation of our services to our customers.”

The deal ensures continuity for existing clients and staff, with a TUPE transfer of employees from Internal Xternal Solutions to Precision FM, including the senior management team.

Founded in 2012, Precision FM now manages over 1,000 buildings, across the UK and Ireland and having previously worked with the roofing contractor for over six years on a contractual basis, the acquisition allows Precision FM to expand the full range of services it offers to its clients nationwide.
