Pressac showcases new sensors for smarter, healthier workplaces at Facilities Show

UK sensor manufacturer Pressac has launched new sensor technology which will give organisations all the data they need to create smarter, healthier, more efficient workplaces – now and in the future.

The new technology, developed at Pressac’s high-tech UK design and manufacturing facility, enables the monitoring of a range of different parameters in just one device, making the process of creating smart buildings easier and more efficient.

The technology has been designed to enhance Pressac’s existing occupancy and indoor environment sensing portfolio and introduce new sensing capabilities – volatile organic compounds (VOCs), particulate matter (PM 1, 2.5, 4 and 10) levels, light and sound.

Initially, Pressac has launched two new multi-sensor products – an indoor air quality sensor and a room conditions sensor – but more products will be added through 2022. It will also be available to select companies looking to partner with Pressac to create bespoke configurations for high-volume sensing solutions.

Pressac technology is designed to give organisations complete control over how they use their sensor data. The technology is system agnostic, so data can be sent securely to multiple IoT platforms or smart systems, enabling a scalable and future-proof solution.

Pete Burbidge, Pressac’s Managing Director, said: “In a world where creating the right office environment is more important than ever, more and more companies will be turning to smart sensor technology to do this.

“We’ve listened to our customers and what we’ve developed here is a high-quality platform, giving them the flexibility and scalability they need.

“Our aim is to help companies looking to deliver large-scale IoT deployments to get the building, facilities and equipment data they need as effectively and efficiently as possible.”

Pressac will be showcasing the new technology at the Facilities Show at ExCel London from 17-19 May – stand FM2440 – and Pressac product engineers will be on hand to demonstrate the latest products.
