Stadium Support Services kicks off four-year Projects partnership with Bradford City AFC

Bradford City AFC has signed Stadium Support Services as its Official Projects Partner, which will see the family-owned and operated facilities management company, playing a key role in the continued enhancement of the University of Bradford Stadium over the next four years, through the delivery of sustainable, high-quality projects that will elevate the club’s infrastructure and create a welcoming environment.

Stadium Support Services brings 20 years of experience in facilities management across the sports, leisure, and commercial property sectors. With a focus on sustainability and fast-turnaround FM solutions, the company says it is committed to supporting Bradford City AFC’s facilities and ensuring operational excellence, cost efficiency, and a positive impact on the local community.

Speaking about the new collaboration, City’s Chief Commercial Officer, Davide Longo, said: “We are thrilled to be welcoming Stadium Support Services on board as our newest principal partner. They are an impressive company who will be helping us in our continued efforts to make the University of Bradford Stadium a more pleasant, welcoming place for supporters.

“Having worked on some fantastic national stadia such as Wembley and Twickenham, they arrive with a wealth of experience and ability to do great things with us.”

Scott Hudson, Managing Director at Stadium Support Services, commented: “For me, we must align strategically with organisations that share our values and ambitions. We’ve been genuinely impressed with the vision and culture at Bradford City AFC. As the official projects partner, we eagerly anticipate the many opportunities to collaborate and create a stadium environment that benefits players, fans, and the community alike.”

Steven Mehta, Account Director at Stadium Support Services and lifelong Bradford City AFC fan, added: “Overseeing this exciting new partnership is a dream come true. Our commitment to facilities management is driven by a genuine passion for supporting the club’s best interests. We are dedicated to bringing our expertise and care to ensure that this partnership not only enhances the club’s facilities but also contributes positively to its growth and success. I can’t wait to support the club both on and off the pitch.”

Webinar: Using AI learning to improve frontline staff engagement

Frontline workers form the backbone of facilities management services, serving as the face of the brand and interacting directly with customers. Yet research by both L&G and the Living Wage Foundation reveals the majority feel overlooked and expendable.

Accelerating the problem is a growing technology gap. Despite having 2.7 billion deskless workers worldwide, representing 80 per cent of the global workforce, only one per cent of software and technology investments has been allocated to this segment. This means there is a huge disconnect between frontline workers and their headquarters, leading to lack of sufficient training, communication challenges and low employee retention.

For this webinar, FMJ has teamed up with frontline training platform Lingio to bring together a panel of experts, to discuss how easy-to-use and efficient AI tools can help create engaging and gamified learning experiences that fit the needs of underserved deskless workers. The result? Better software and learning experiences lead to improved staff engagement and reduced staff turnover by up to 95 per cent, according to McKinsey.
