Tivoli lands Yorkshire grounds maintenance services deal

Specialist grounds maintenance service provider, Tivoli Group, has secured Yorkshire Housing’s Grounds Maintenance & Associated Services contract across its whole estate.

The contract, which will run for an initial period of 24 months from 1 April 2024 with a possible two 12-month extensions, includes circa 300 sites, covering external grounds across Yorkshire including East, West and South. Services to be delivered include grass mowing, planted bed maintenance, hedge pruning, weed management, litter and debris removal and disposal, and other ad-hoc works.

Yorkshire Housing is the biggest housing association based solely in Yorkshire. They own and manage around 20,000 homes across the region, including older person’s accommodation and homes for low-cost rent (social and affordable homes).

The key strengths of Tivoli’s bid included the ability to deliver significant social value and local supply chain expertise, and an innovative and commercialised approach. The company, which has a proven track record in managing similar Housing Association contracts across the UK, has pledged to make significant investment in improving green spaces across the estate whilst delivering a high-quality service and driving continuous improvement, working in partnership with Yorkshire Housing to develop a strong and trusting relationship.

Commenting on the contract award, Alex McLauchlan, Tivoli’s Regional Director, said: “It’s great news that Tivoli has been awarded the Grounds Maintenance contract with Yorkshire Housing. We are dedicated to providing a cost-effective service, whilst also committing to significant investment to meet the future requirements of residents and visitors and protect and regenerate the environment. This investment will deliver some exciting projects, and our teams look forward to delivering those commitments and to working in partnership with Yorkshire Housing.”

Robert Agar, Environmental and Estates Service Manager at Yorkshire Housing, said: “We’re looking forward to working with Tivoli. Their experience and knowledge will help us to continue to provide our customers with places they’re proud to call home.”

FM Tech Survey 2024

Service Works Global (SWG) is conducting research in partnership with FMJ, to find out how you are using technology in your role through a short survey.

Whatever your FM role, your responses will help to provide analysis and insight into the use of technology, as the FM industry rises to meet the challenges of sustainability, new ways of working and data-driven decision making. This will enable FMs to gain insight into future trends to stay ahead of the curve, and be able to benchmark against the industry as a whole.

The anonymised results will be published so that you can see how you compare to others within the sector.

The survey should take just 5-10 minutes of your time, and as a thank you, participants will be entered into a prize draw where one lucky winner will be picked at random to receive an iPad 10th Generation worth £499.
