UK film studio casts Artic for maintenance role

Artic has secured a win with a major UK film Studio for the maintenance of its air handling units across the entire estate.

The contract, which was awarded following a competitive tender process, will also see Artic ensuring the reliable operation of all critical systems providing planned preventative and reactive maintenance processes for all assets and systems in compliance with SFG20. Furthermore, Artic will continuously assess the asset performance to identify opportunities for increasing energy efficiency.

An Artic engineer will visit the sites on a quarterly basis and will deliver the PPM service to a pre-agreed master schedule on all in scope AHU assets.

Artic is also appointing a dedicated Contract Manager and Contract Administrator team, responsible for actioning, guiding, monitoring, and managing the service requirement. They will utilise Artic’s CAFM platform to offer quick and seamless job allocations, worksheets, and reports, along with extensive data export capabilities that report contract performance against a mutually agreed key performance indicator framework.

In addition, Artic will be providing the client with full access to its 24/7/365 Help desk facility, ensuring an immediate response to any call-outs.

Metro Rod Drainage and Plumbing Survey

With the current economic crisis resulting in higher prices and more of a squeeze on resources, FMs need to ensure that they have robust building and maintenance services in place to control costs and reduce the need for emergency repairs. When it comes to drainage and plumbing there are also the challenges of dealing with extreme weather, from droughts to flooding, the need to meet stringent regulations and to avoid causing environmental damage.

UK drainage specialist, Metro Rod, has launched a survey which explores the main areas of interest for FMs in maintaining drainage and plumbing, including how they currently assess their supply chains to ensure they’re working with partners that meet the highest possible standards and provide value for money.

The results will be published online so that you can see how you compare to others within the sector.

The survey should take just 5-10 minutes of your time, and as a thank you, you will be entered into a prize draw, where one lucky winner will be picked at random to receive a £100 Amazon voucher.
