Webb’s Training Services joins Reconomy Group

Outsourced services provider to the circular economy, Reconomy Group, has acquired Webb’s Training Services, a leading provider of commercial training offering over 50 courses across a wide variety of industries.

Head-quartered in Birmingham, Webb’s has a network of UK training centres and also delivers courses on customer premises or online. Categories of training include health & safety, construction, plant operation, manual handling, working at height, first aid, driving and many more.

Webb’s will become part of the Reconomy Group’s Recycle division and work alongside the UK brands to deliver accredited training to customers and their staff. It will also support the Group’s initiatives to find routes into employment for people from hard-to-reach backgrounds.

Mark Webb, Managing Director of Webb’s Training Services, said: “We’re delighted to be joining the Reconomy Group for this next exciting phase in our development. We see great opportunities and have a deep understanding of business training needs across all commercial sectors, working with many of Reconomy Group’s customers already. Everyone at Webb’s is looking forward to adding value and capability to the Group proposition in 2022 and beyond.”

Mike Benton, Operations Director at Reconomy Group, added: “Training and development are of paramount importance to Reconomy Group and we recognise the skills challenges being faced by our core sectors. As the UK continues to build back following the pandemic, we believe that Webb’s will be a great addition to the Group and further enhance our offer to customers, whilst also allowing us to accelerate our commitments as part of the Reconomy Social Value Programme.”

Facilities Management Survey 2022

Informa, the organisers of Facilities Show, together with FMJ magazine, have teamed up to launch a questionnaire which aims to offer a useful snapshot of where the facilities management sector is now, and an outlook on the future.

For instance, are you asking workers to begin to return to the office with a hybrid home/office work schedule? Are you revising your premises to enable more flexible ways of working and as such have your workplace strategies, including sustainability, wellbeing and engagement had to be radically rethought?

Your anonymised answers will contribute to a report on the biggest challenges and opportunities facing facilities managers; now, and anticipated in the next 12 months.
