For the fourth consecutive year, Mitie has been named a Top 100 Apprenticeship Employers 2025 by the Department for Education (DFE), in partnership with RateMyApprenticeship. This year, Mitie has climbed 36 places to secure the number 16 spot with this rapid rise reflecting its commitment to upskilling, and career development.
As one of only a few facilities transformation organisations featuring on the list, Mitie has been recognised as an exceptional apprentice employer, demonstrating a real commitment to apprenticeships through achievements, diversity and intake numbers, as well as learner feedback.
Currently, around 1,600 Level 2-7 apprentices are enrolled in a wide-spanning range of programmes, including engineering, business administration, and sustainability. Mitie’s approach ensures apprentices receive hands-on experience and structured learning, as well as long term career support.
Mitie is continuing to evolve its offering in line with emerging industry needs – most recently launching an AI apprenticeship programme, developed by Corndel in partnership with Imperial College London and supported by Microsoft, to equip colleagues with cutting edge digital skills, to drive innovation and upskill colleagues.
Through its apprenticeships, Mitie has continued to invest in building a diverse leadership, with a flagship Level 7 leadership programme, combining academic excellence with executive coaching to support future female leaders in overcoming business challenges.
Beyond its own workforce, Mitie has also committed over £2.2 million in apprenticeship levy gifting since 2021, supporting more than 150 apprentices across 35 external organisations, including SMEs and charities.
