ISS UK & Ireland strengthens country leadership team with Financial Services segment director appointment

ISS UK & Ireland has appointed Marlies Hoogeboom as Segment Director, Financial Services. She joins the Company’s Country Leadership Team (CLT), reporting to ISS UK & Ireland CEO, Scott Davies, with a secondary reporting line to Andrew Wilkinson, Global Account Director, Barclays.

Following the departure of Andrew Wilkinson (formerly COO, Office & Production), to lead ISS Group’s Barclays Global Key Account, the Office & Production segment has been replaced with: Financial Services (FS), including Barclays UK, Banking and Livv; and Business & Industry (B&I), including Professional Services, Production, Technology and Ireland.

A comprehensive internal and external search is being completed for the appointment of a B&I Segment Director. This appointment will be announced in due course.

Hoogeboom, currently Managing Director, Barclays UK, assumes the role of Segment Director, Financial Services with immediate effect. Hoogeboom joined ISS UK & Ireland in late 2025. She has extensive executive and board experience in facilities management and related industries, gleaned over more than 20 years in a range of regional and international roles, including as an MD in companies like Sodexo, Mace and BAM’s FM business.

In her new role, Hoogeboom will lead the consolidation of the Barclays account into one Financial Services segment, reflecting the maturity of this longstanding partnership and the opportunity to leverage ISS’ scale and expertise in this core market. In addition, she assumes accountability for Livv, the company’s high-end boutique services business, which benefits from a complementary set of customers with similar FM needs and desired outcomes.

Scott Davies, CEO, ISS UK & Ireland, commented: “Marlies’ appointment as Segment Director, and the creation of the associated segments, reflects a shift into a higher gear when it comes to our growth ambitions, both with respect to our valued existing clients, and also new clients as we explore sub-segments like insurance.

“Marlies’ has a dual remit to chase that growth, while redoubling our focus on standardisation and best practice sharing — identifying market leading innovation and centres of excellence and driving process and service synergies, irrespective of segment or industry.

“Most importantly, her appointment and the subsequent appointment of a Segment Director in Business & Industry will allow me, the CLT and our functional teams to get a step closer to our operations, ensuring we can make a real difference on a strategic and an operating level.”

On Tuesday 16 June at 11:00am, askporter and FMJ will be holding a webinar which brings together FM leaders who are already using this tech, to discuss what is changing, what is not, and how the future looks for teams that get this right.
