BaxterStorey Announces Chef Partnership with Claridge’s Simon Attridge

BaxterStorey has announced a new chef partnership with Simon Attridge, Culinary Director at Claridge’s. Attridge has led the culinary direction at Claridge’s since 2023, overseeing operations across all outlets at the Iconic Mayfair hotel.

Prior to that, Attridge has worked for some of the biggest names in the sector, including The Gleneagles Hotel, where he won the Catey Hotel Chef of the Year and Shangri-La Hotels, both opening the Shard and Internationally in Abu Dhabi and Shanghai

The partnership marks a return to BaxterStorey for Attridge, who previously spent more than six years with the business earlier in his career, leading high-end hospitality operations for City of London clients.

As part of the partnership, Attridge will work with BaxterStorey’s food team to support culinary excellence across the business.

This will include delivering masterclasses and bespoke experiences for clients and teams, contributing to menu innovation, and sharing insights from the London dining scene.

With the support of Claridge’s leadership team, BaxterStorey chefs will also have opportunities to access the hotel’s kitchens and culinary spaces for inspiration and learning.

Attridge will join BaxterStorey’s Chef’s Academy as a guest tutor and ambassador, supporting the development of approximately 150 chefs who graduate from the programme each year.

He will also contribute to industry events, client engagements and BaxterStorey’s ‘Obsessed’ food and beverage culture.

Greg Bramwell, director of food and beverage said:

“We’re absolutely thrilled to be working with Simon again. He is a true culinary gamechanger and someone who is hugely respected across the industry. Simon has an exceptional ability to inspire chefs to think beyond the plate, to push boundaries and elevate every moment of the food and beverage experience. His innovation, experience, and passion for excellence will be pivotal in championing our Obsessed culture, mentoring our chefs to craft dishes and hospitality experiences that genuinely stand out.”

Ronan Harte, CEO added:

“This is a truly 360-degree moment for us as we welcome Simon back to BaxterStorey. He returns with invaluable insight, exceptional culinary skills, and a deep passion for outstanding hospitality shaped by his experience at one of the world’s most respected hotels. I am excited to see our teams flourish under his mentorship as we continue to delight our customers and delivering memorable hospitality.”

Attridge added:

“My time at BaxterStorey played an important role in my career, so it’s a pleasure to reconnect. I’m looking forward to sharing knowledge, supporting the Chef’s Academy and collaborating with the team to continue raising standards across hospitality.”

Safety at Work
FMJ and Watco Webinar: Meeting compliance in a new culture of accountability

From January 2026, the Building Safety Regulator (BSR) formally separated from the Health and Safety Executive (HSE). Created under the Building Safety Act 2022 in response to the Grenfell Tower tragedy, the BSR is designed to raise safety standards across the built environment and introduce a stronger culture of accountability, transparency, and proactive risk management.

This shift places facilities managers in a more strategic safety assurance role – far beyond routine maintenance.

FMJ and Watco are hosting a webinar on 22 April at 11:00am to explore what this new regulatory landscape means for FMs. To register for the webinar click here.
