Bennett Hay achieves B Corp certification alongside its strongest year of growth

London-based independent workplace catering and guest services business, Bennett Hay, has announced its most successful year to date, marked by strong growth across the business and the achievement of B Corp™ certification, meaning the company meets B Lab’s standards for social and environmental performance, transparency and accountability.

The certification comes at the end of a landmark year for the independent hospitality and catering company. Bennett Hay surpassed £20 million in turnover, grew its team to more than 300 colleagues, opened a new Central Production Kitchen in Shoreditch and secured 11 new client contracts. The company also maintained 100 per cent client retention, with 12 existing clients renewing their partnerships. Supporting this growth, Bennett Hay’s central support team increased by 25 per cent.

Bennett Hay’s B Corp certification reflects its commitment to responsible business through Growing for Good, the company’s sustainability strategy built around four pillars: Human Kind, Waste Warriors, Planet Positive and Food Heroes.

Zoë Watts, Managing Director, said: “Achieving B Corp certification alongside our strongest year of growth is an incredibly proud moment for Bennett Hay. It reflects our commitment to building a business that delivers for our clients and colleagues while creating a positive impact through our Growing for Good strategy.”

Robin Hay, Chairman, added: “As we celebrate Bennett Hay’s 15th anniversary this year, achieving B Corp certification is particularly meaningful. When Anthony and I founded the business, we were clear that strong values and responsible business practices would always be at the heart of what we do. This milestone reflects our continued commitment to those principles as the company grows and evolves.”

FMJ and Watco Webinar: Meeting compliance in a new culture of accountability

From January 2026, the Building Safety Regulator (BSR) formally separated from the Health and Safety Executive (HSE). Created under the Building Safety Act 2022 in response to the Grenfell Tower tragedy, the BSR is designed to raise safety standards across the built environment and introduce a stronger culture of accountability, transparency, and proactive risk management.

This shift places facilities managers in a more strategic safety assurance role – far beyond routine maintenance.

FMJ and Watco are hosting a webinar on 22 April at 11:00am to explore what this new regulatory landscape means for FMs. To register for the webinar click here.
