Bennett Hay appoints business development manager

The independent hospitality services provider has appointed Rachel Barnes to the role of Business Development Manager with responsibility for driving new catering and reception services opportunities.

Barnes joins Bennett Hay after nearly a decade with The Good Eating Company. She will oversee Bennett Hay’s focus on client acquisition by concentrating on London’s corporate community and key real estate stakeholders, and will manage a portfolio of existing prospects along with developing a new target client list.

With a strong record in strategic account development, tendering and client management, Barnes was educated at the University of Surrey and spent her placement year with The Savoy.

Speaking about her new role, Barnes said: “Bennett Hay’s core value of creating a community is so apparent; from my onboarding, the regular updates we receive to the camaraderie everyone at every site exudes. I’m excited at the empowerment and entrepreneurial leeway this new chapter in my career is giving me.”

Zoë Watts, Bennett Hay’s MD, commented: “Rachel is a fantastic asset to the company due to her proven abilities, tenacity and engaging personality. She has an incredible foresight on workplace needs and this is balanced with a keen eye for bringing high street trends in to the employee experience. Rachel’s fitted in seamlessly as we gear up for a busy period tendering and driving awareness of our flair to create exceptional work environments for London’s business community.”

Bennett Hay works with a notable portfolio of offices and estates where the company oversees facilities, catering and guest services.
