City FM in holiday park win

City FM has been awarded a contract with holiday park operator, Parkdean Resorts, to provide facilities management services at its 67 holiday parks across the UK.

The contract, which will deliver a data-driven FM solution, commenced on 1 March 2022 and is centred around a collaborative and strategic partnership. This is a major development for Parkdean Resorts, who has managed its FM at local level until now working with more than 800 suppliers and contractors.

City will provide a 24/7 Service Desk, asset verification survey, planned preventative maintenance (PPM), compliance, job scheduling and management of all regional and national subcontractors. This will deliver compliance, transparency, efficiencies, live data analytics and asset cycle intelligence with tangible service improvements.

Commenting on the new contract award, Campbell Murdoch, Managing Director at City FM said: “The City team have come alongside Parkdean Resorts and built strong relationships. This has allowed us to develop effective partnership working, as we start to roll out the operational model. We are really looking forward to supporting this great business with their exciting development plans for the future.”

David Lodge, Property Director at Parkdean Resorts added: “We’re looking forward to working with City FM. This partnership will drive significant improvements and efficiencies across our maintenance activities.”

Waste Management and Recycling Survey

FMJ in conjunction with Grundon Waste Management have launched the 2022 survey into how FMs approach their waste management and recycling responsibilities.

It’s the fifth year for the annual appraisal, and as we return to normal, there is a real opportunity for FMs to reappraise their waste and recycling operations and look at new, smarter waste management strategies.

In order to understand how FMs have navigated their way through the last year and their plans for meeting stringent waste and recycling targets we’ve posed a series of questions which include insights into FMs’ waste management strategy and targets, such as zero waste and landfill, the types of waste organisations produce and what helps FMs promote waste management in their organisations?

Please share your experiences and opinions on waste management. The survey will take just five minutes to complete, and as a thank you for taking part, respondents will be entered into a prize draw to win a £150 Amazon gift card.
