Co-Op Academies Trust appoints Eric Wright for FM services

Eric Wright Facilities Management (EWFM) has secured a three-year contract with the Co-Op Academies Trust for the provision of facilities management services at its newest secondary school in Belle Vue, Manchester.

The Co-op Academy Belle Vue is an 8, 500 sq m new-build school which will open in November 2022 with its first intake of year 7 and 8 pupils who will move across from temporary accommodation at Connell Co-Op College.  It is the latest addition to the Co-Op Academies Trust which was established in 2010 and today operates 30 academies, teaching pupils aged 3-19 across three regional hubs in Greater Manchester, West Yorkshire and Staffordshire and Merseyside.

Under the £1 million deal EWFM will deliver a range of services to the school, including both hard and soft FM services, service desk operation, planned and reactive maintenance, statutory compliance and cleaning services.

Commenting on the contract win EWFM Managing Director George Lilley said: “The Co-op Academy Belle Vue is a superb new school and we are proud to have been appointed by the Trust to deliver FM services from the very start. Their services will provide the reassurance we need to enable us to focus on achieving ambitious education outcomes for our students and we are very excited to be moving the Belle Vue students into their permanent new home.”
