DMA Group confirms M&E contract with the Port of Dover

The property maintenance specialist has signed a Framework Charter with the Port of Dover to confirm its mechanical & electrical (M&E) contract with Europe’s busiest port.

The event, which took place on 5 December at the Port’s Cruise Terminal, sets out an agreed way in which Port of Dover and DMA Group commit to working together to continue to raise standards of building maintenance and project delivery across the Port.

The Framework Charter signing also reaffirms that DMA Group will be responsible for providing M&E services across the Port, which begun earlier this year. Continuing confidence in DMA’s service delivery quality has led to its scope expanding to cover general building maintenance, fabric repairs and specialist compliance services.

The signing of the Port of Dover’s Framework Charter ensures that both parties promote an open and transparent working environment ‘based on exemplar communication and a developed mutual trust’.

DMA Group was also recently appointed under the existing Framework agreement to deliver a major building compliance project across the Port’s dispersed and diverse estate in excess of £2.4 million over a 12-month period, underpinning its continued focus on building improvement.

Steve McGregor, Managing Director at DMA Group said: “Everyone at DMA is immensely proud to support the Port and to have signed the Framework Charter. Both parties have collaborated effectively at every level to deliver a revitalised and improved service delivery model. During the event, we were proud to receive positive reinforcement of the contribution our DMA teams have made over the last 12 months. Long may it continue.”

Chris Hughes, Director of Procurement and PMO at the Port of Dover added: “I’m excited that DMA Group are working with the Port of Dover to deliver a wide range of mechanical, electrical and building maintenance services across the Port. DMA Group and Port of Dover both have deep regional roots with a shared passion and commitment to delivering for our customers. Our teams came together to sign this charter to affirm how our teams collaborate and innovate to deliver improved asset resilience to customers and users of the Port of Dover.”
