FM acquisition and merger rumours

According to a report by Sky News, Clayton Dubliner & Rice (CD&R), a private equity company based in the US is looking to buy and merge facilities management firms Atalian Servest and OCS Group, which between them employ close to 200,000 across the globe.

Sky News stated that it has been informed by city sources that the “deals combined could be valued at approximately £2.5 billion, the majority of which would be accounted for by Atalian Servest”. The report added that whilst “takeovers were not certain to happen, CD&R was in detailed talks with both target companies”.

In 2016, facilities services companies Atalian and Servest formally merged to create one of the world’s largest FM organisations. With an annual turnover of €3 billion, Atalian Servest employs in excess of 131,000 people worldwide, operating globally in 36 countries, across Europe, Africa, Asia and North America.

Founded in 1900, the £1 billion turnover international facilities management firm, OCS Group employs over 68,000 people, who provide services to 20,000 clients across the globe.

To date there has been no comment from either Atalian Servest or OCS Group confirming this news.
