International Workplace and DPD partnership recognised at the SHE Awards

International Workplace and DPD have been Highly Commended for the Safer Logistics Award at the SHE Awards.

The awards, held on Wednesday evening at the Vox in Birmingham, saw more than 750 health and safety professionals from the construction, manufacturing and logistics industries come together to celebrate their health and safety successes.

The shortlist of six companies for the Safer Logistics Award included National Highways, Weetabix and Vodafone. International Workplace and DPD were praised for the safety outcomes that resulted from their year-long health and safety programme carried out in 2022.

The 12-month project saw 1,100 members of DPD’s management team undertaking an intensive training programme in health and safety, run by International Workplace’s team of trainers, achieving a 92 per cent pass rate.

Sally Harris, Head of Health and Safety at DPD said: “We’re so thrilled that this project has been recognised by the Safety and Health Excellence Awards. To be highly commended for this prestigious award demonstrates our commitment to our people and the focus the business has put on our employees’ health and safety. The SHE Awards have brought together the teams at both DPD and International Workplace that have contributed to this project being such a massive success.”

David Sharp, International Workplace CEO, added: “I’m delighted to see our partnership with DPD recognised at these prestigious awards. We have a strong pedigree working with corporates in the transport and logistics sector, where our expertise as one of the world’s leading IOSH-approved training centres and investment in innovative learning technologies has seen us deliver improved outcomes for our clients and our learners. We’re very pleased for DPD. They deserve every success for the very real commitment they’ve made to improving health, safety and wellbeing in their business.”
