It’s a gold for BM in top business sustainability ranking

BM Caterers has been awarded a ‘gold medal’ for its ESG performance by sustainability ratings company, EcoVadis, putting the workplace caterer in the top five per cent of the 100,000 companies rated, which includes AXA, ING, Pernod Ricard, and LVMH.

BM has been working with EcoVadis as part of a client contract since 2016, which has also been gold-rated for the last two years.

A new, expanded partnership will see BM benefit from annual sustainability assessments, action plans, and access to resources, webinars and events, with the aim to drive better sustainability results and reduce its carbon output through a robust carbon measuring strategy.

Sally Grimes, Quality Standards Manager at BM Caterers, said: “ESG is a journey of learning and change for BM: recognising the critical importance of sustainability in the way we work, going beyond what is required of us and aligning with companies who we believe can help us take the next step forward in this journey.

“EcoVadis partners with many of our clients already, is a widely recognised accreditation, and having worked with them for some time ourselves, the value they bring was clear, so we wanted to develop this relationship further and take the next step with them.”

EcoVadis helps companies manage ESG risk and compliance, meet corporate sustainability goals, and drive impact at scale by guiding sustainability performance improvement at both company and value chain level.

Its methodology is based on international sustainability standards, including the Global Reporting Initiative, the United Nations Global Compact, and ISO 26000.

FM Tech Survey 2024

Service Works Global (SWG) is conducting research in partnership with FMJ, to find out how you are using technology in your role through a short survey.

Whatever your FM role, your responses will help to provide analysis and insight into the use of technology, as the FM industry rises to meet the challenges of sustainability, new ways of working and data-driven decision making. This will enable FMs to gain insight into future trends to stay ahead of the curve, and be able to benchmark against the industry as a whole.

The anonymised results will be published so that you can see how you compare to others within the sector.

The survey should take just 5-10 minutes of your time, and as a thank you, participants will be entered into a prize draw where one lucky winner will be picked at random to receive an iPad 10th Generation worth £499.
