Nominations open for IoH Annual Dinner & Awards 2023

Nominations are now open for the Institute of Hospitality (IoH) Annual Dinner & Awards 2023, which celebrate the achievements and talent from across the global hospitality industry.

Marking the Institute’s 85th year annual dinner, the event will be held at Hilton London Bankside on 26 June 2023.

Announcing the dinner and awards, IoH CEO Robert Richardson FIH MI said: “In our 85th year, I am incredibly proud to encourage nominations from applicants from across the globe, within any hospitality segment and from any specialism, either IoH members or non-members, working in small to large hospitality organisations. Our industry continues to strive for full inclusivity so wherever you are and whoever you are, please take part. After last year’s incredible event at Hilton London Bankside celebrating our exceptional winners, I’m sure this year the bar will be raised even higher.”

Awards categories

The international award categories for 2023, open to hospitality organisations of any size, location, with or without IoH membership are:

1. Best Educational Programme 2023 – sponsored by HIT Training

This award is open to employers of any size across the hospitality, leisure and tourism sectors. It aims to recognise those organisations that can show evidence of an engaging graduate programme, Apprenticeship scheme and/or inspirational student placement scheme.

2. Talent Development Team of the Year 2023

This award is open to employers of any size across the hospitality, leisure, and tourism sectors. It aims to recognise teams that can show evidence of outstanding commitment to Continuing Professional Development (CPD), supporting individual professionals at all levels of their careers and who have collectively made positive impacts across the organisation.

3. The Gregory De La Peña-Hall MIH Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion Employer of the Year Award 2023   

This award is open to employers of any size across the hospitality, leisure, and tourism sectors. It aims to recognise employers who have shown an outstanding commitment to Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) and can demonstrate how it has positively impacted the business and the wider hospitality industry.

4. Outstanding Contribution to the Industry 2023

Nominations for this prestigious award can only be made by a member of the IoH’s College of Fellows. Fellows can nominate any individual (an IoH member or non-member), from across the hospitality, leisure, and tourism sectors. This award will be presented to an individual who has made an outstanding contribution to the industry.

The highly contested Hospitality Assured Awards will also be presented on the night.

Timeline

  • Closing date for entries is 5pm on Friday 26 May 2023.
  • Shortlisted finalists will be announced on Monday 5 June 2023.
  • Winners will be announced at the IoH Annual Dinner & Awards on Monday 26 June 2023
