Novus wins £9m Bromford deal

Novus Property Solutions has secured a £9 million contract to provide cyclical decorations and pre-decoration repairs to thousands of homes owned by regional housing association Bromford.

The win is the biggest of the year to date for the national maintenance and compliance contractor, and follows a successful summer for the business, which recently announced that it had secured contracts and frameworks worth £23 million in August and September alone.

The contract covers Bromford’s homes in the West Midlands, Shropshire, Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Northamptonshire. In total, Novus will undertake repairs and redecorations for up to 21,000 social and affordable properties.

The contract will run for six years with the option to extend for a further two years.

Commenting on the contract award, Novus’ Midlands Head of Operations Gary Clay said: “As previous incumbent contractor for Bromford, we are delighted to have re-secured this contract as we continue to build on our fantastic working relationship with the organisation. Not only are we proud to have secured a contract of this size with a forward-thinking client like Bromford, we are incredibly proud of the manner in which it was won.

“As a business, we have always understood the importance of taking care of residents and keeping them informed and involved in the works we undertake to improve their homes. We also make sure we build social value into every project we do – whether that’s improving the local area through refurbishing community facilities, or giving our staff dedicated time to volunteer for local good causes.”

Nick Wooldridge, Investment Delivery Manager at Bromford added: “We’ve developed an excellent working relationship with Novus and look forward to building on this during the course of this latest contract. Over the years ahead, the team from Novus will be working with thousands of our customers, helping us to maintain and improve homes in which our customers can thrive.”
