Strong start to 2023 for Mace Operate

Specialist facilities management business, Mace Operate, has reported a strong start to 2023 by securing new and retained business across a range of locations and industry sectors.

In the Americas, where Mace has recently won the ‘Above and Beyond’ Award at the IFMA NYC Awards for Excellence, Mace Operate is expanding its client base rapidly, having won a contract to run facilities for a global insurance provider. It has also secured a year’s extension with an energy technology client to provide facilities management services at their regional headquarters in Trinidad and Tobago to over 600 employees.

In the UK, Mace Operate has won a contract to deliver helpdesk and facilities management services for a primary healthcare centre provider in the UK across over 600 sites.

In Europe, a leading technology services and consultancy company has appointed Mace Operate to provide helpdesk and facilities management services in their offices.

Mace Operate says the strong start to the year follows on from an “impressive finish to 2022”, when Mace Operate secured a three-year contract to supply facilities management services at a prestigious building within the JLT (Jumeirah Lake Towers) community in Dubai.

Ross Abbate, Chief Executive of Operate, Mace said: “The progress we’ve made in the early months of 2023 has been fantastic. The breadth and scope of new and extended contracts that we’ve secured recently shows how we are going from strength to strength as a leading facilities management service provider.

The key to our recent success is that our purpose, priorities and people are focused on delivering exceptional experiences whilst committing to our clients’ sustainability and social value goals. Our model is flexible so that we are well positioned to meet a broad range of client portfolio requirements with innovative solutions and deliver service excellence.’’

Metro Rod Drainage and Plumbing Survey

With the current economic crisis resulting in higher prices and more of a squeeze on resources, FMs need to ensure that they have robust building and maintenance services in place to control costs and reduce the need for emergency repairs. When it comes to drainage and plumbing there are also the challenges of dealing with extreme weather, from droughts to flooding, the need to meet stringent regulations and to avoid causing environmental damage.

UK drainage specialist, Metro Rod, has launched a survey which explores the main areas of interest for FMs in maintaining drainage and plumbing, including how they currently assess their supply chains to ensure they’re working with partners that meet the highest possible standards and provide value for money.

The results will be published online so that you can see how you compare to others within the sector.

The survey should take just 5-10 minutes of your time, and as a thank you, you will be entered into a prize draw, where one lucky winner will be picked at random to receive a £100 Amazon voucher.
