UK Commercial Group Ltd (UKCG) has expanded into mainland Europe after securing a major contract to deliver specialist HVAC maintenance, compliance and cleaning services across 10 countries.
The contract, which begins in January 2027, will see the UK-based facilities support specialist provide servicing, maintenance, repair and specialist cleaning of HVAC systems and Air Handling Units (AHUs) for a leading leisure operator and private healthcare providers operating across Europe.
The agreement represents UKCG’s first large-scale European deployment and will involve work across France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Switzerland and a number of other European territories.
Founded by CEO Tony Earnshaw, the business delivers specialist engineering and compliance services throughout the UK, with expertise spanning ventilation hygiene, HVAC maintenance, air handling systems, fire safety compliance and critical building infrastructure.
Earnshaw said: “Our expansion reflects increasing demand from clients seeking consistent standards of maintenance and compliance across multiple jurisdictions. The contract will involve maintaining critical HVAC infrastructure within environments where reliability, efficiency and compliance are essential. Whether in leisure facilities or healthcare settings, these systems play a vital role in providing safe, comfortable and compliant environments for staff, customers and patients.
“Our responsibility is to ensure these assets operate effectively, efficiently and in accordance with all relevant regulations and industry standards.”
The expansion presents additional operational challenges, particularly around workforce mobility, compliance requirements and permitting arrangements across multiple countries.
Earnshaw said: “Operating across Europe requires a different level of planning than many UK businesses have historically experienced. Work permits, visas, local compliance requirements and operational logistics all require careful management.
“However, we see these challenges as opportunities. The demand for high-quality specialist engineering services remains strong, and our objective is to deliver the same standards of technical excellence and compliance that have underpinned our success in the UK.”
He believes the move reflects a wider trend towards international service delivery within the facilities management and building services sectors, as clients increasingly seek trusted partners capable of supporting multi-site operations across national borders.
The company expects the European expansion to support further investment in people, training and technical capability while strengthening relationships with international customers and supply chain partners.
