Wates appointed to DWP fit out framework

Wates has secured a place on the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) Taxi Rank Framework for fit out projects ranging from £3 million up to £10 million across Northern England, Scotland, and Wales.

Work will be allocated through a ‘taxi rank’ model, with Wates carrying out a series of life cycle and capital works projects including reconfigurations and relocations for the DWP’s premises portfolio.

Wates has previously undertaken work for the DWP through its four-year Lifecycle Works Framework, including a lift refurbishment programme across 30 operational sites, which completed in 2022.

Scott Camp, Managing Director of Wates’ fit-out and refurbishment business, said: “This appointment helps us to continue to build on our relationship with DWP. We are committed to increasing our public sector projects through the framework, dedicating the next 30 months to the customer pipeline and carrying out works across the country. The project appointment allows us to demonstrate our fit-out expertise, delivering the very best standard of works across the DWP estate. We have already secured places in Northern England, Scotland and Wales and I look forward to announcing further details on our project allocation later in the year.”
