Tendra Technical Services has further grown its group portfolio with its acquisition of multi-disciplinary facilities management provider, FMS Integrated Building Services Ltd (FMS).
Backed by the Triton Smaller Mid-Cap Fund II, Tendra is quickly evolving into a leading UK technical services group for the built environment, bringing together high-quality regional businesses with specialist capability, trusted customer relationships, and a shared commitment to service excellence. Tendra’s acquisition of FMS marks its fifth acquisition since inception.
Established in 2003, FMS is headquartered in Coleshill, Birmingham, and boasts a long-standing history of delivering maintenance, PPM, and reactive services, together with HVAC installation to both public and private sector clients across a range of market segments, including healthcare, defence, and education. The company has achieved consistent, organic growth year-on-year driven by repeat business and brand reputation.
In acquiring the business, Tendra plans to strengthen its presence in the Midlands, with FMS offering complementary services to COAT Facilities Group, a business acquired by the group in December 2025, all while expanding into new market sectors.
This news comes just two months after Tendra acquired Dynamic FM, reinforcing its ambition to establish the group as a leading name in technical services for the built environment, synonymous with its integrated service offering, customer focus, and employee-centric delivery.
Greg Davies, CEO of Tendra Technical Services, stated: “FMS is a perfect reflection of the Tendra group strategy, having built a reputation for responsiveness and reliability whilst providing a respected knowledge base and quality delivery over a lowest cost approach.
“This, combined with its credibility and reputation in high growth critical environments such as Defence and Healthcare, makes FMS a strong addition alongside Dynamic FM, James Mercer Group, Fletchers Engineering and Coat Facilities Group .We now look forward to working closely with Craig and the senior leadership team to help drive its next phase of growth.”
Craig McDonald, Managing Director of FMS, added: “Since 2003 we have built our business on technical quality and long-term customer relationships, and it’s that same commitment to service excellence that drew us to Tendra. Becoming part of a group with this ambition, as well as the platform and resources to accelerate our growth, will enable us to advance the business while remaining true to what has made FMS successful for over the last 20+ years.”
