Zoë Watts promoted to MD at Bennett Hay

Independent hospitality services provider, Bennett Hay, has promoted Zoë Watts to the role of Managing Director.

Watts will take up her new position at the beginning of April and will be responsible for the company’s bold growth plans and continued operational excellence.

Watts joined Bennett Hay as Business Development Director in the summer of 2021 and has continuously secured new clients, retained existing business and lead on marketing and innovation across Bennett Hay’s portfolio of workplace catering and reception contracts. She was instrumental in securing the appointment of Leo Coates, Director of Operations and Candice Webber, Culinary Director, to join the leadership team of Owner Directors Robin Hay and Anthony Bennett, and HR & Wellbeing Director Claire Huish.

Hay and Bennett will remain directly involved and take ownership of corporate governance, strategic planning and key partnerships while Watts focuses on asserting Bennett Hay as a workplace partner of choice.

Watts has a wealth of experience in the hospitality sector and has held positions at a number of leading operators including Vacherin and Tate Catering, as well as heading up events and catering at The Natural History Museum. She is an active member of the Institute of Hospitality, championing the importance of the workplace catering sector, as well as a committee member of the Institute of Workplace and Facilities Management.

Speaking about her new appointment, Watts said: “The past two years have been incredibly energising and inspiring as we’ve innovated and adapted to meet the shift in the workplace and our clients’ needs. Bennett Hay has been a force in championing, challenging and reimaging the norms of 9 to 5 – and we’ve grown a fantastic team across our business to help us develop our new proposition. Robin and Anthony’s ownership, and our financial independence means we can be agile and adventurous, and I’m honoured to be leading their business as we embark on our next chapter.”

Bennett commented: “Zoë has been instrumental in driving the business and reinforcing our culture and values. Robin and myself are delighted to be handing over the reins and to seeing her enthusiasm and tenacity take us to the next level. We will continue to be involved in the business by focussing on our specialisms and giving Zoë any support and mentorship she may require.”

Founded in 2010, Bennet Hay hass built a notable portfolio of offices and estates where it oversees facilities and guest experiences with clients including Landsec, Fremantle, Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP, Here East and The Leadenhall Building.
