Satvir Bungar, Head of FM Transactions at BDO named on Empower 100 Executives Role Model list 2023

For the third year running, Satvir Bungar, M&A Managing Director and Head of Facilities Management Transactions at accountancy and business advisory firm, BDO, has been named as one of the top 100 leaders for his work in supporting diversity and inclusion in the workplace.

Bungar, who heads up BDO’s ethnic diversity network known as CEDAR, has been named in the Empower 100 Executives Role Model list, created by INvolve. The list, supported by YouTube showcase leaders who are breaking down barriers at work for people of colour within global business.

Bungar, who has been with BDO for more than 15 years acts as a longstanding mentor to junior colleagues, and has been integral in supporting BDO’s graduate talent campaign to attract high-performing ethnically diverse graduates. His commitment to championing equality, diversity and inclusion (ED&I) and creating social mobility initiatives, alongside his collaboration with sector bodies in the FM industry and pro bono advice to various company boards, have contributed to his inclusion in the top 100. He continues to focus on improving the long-term career prospects of young people and creating safe spaces for under-represented talent within the workplace.

Commenting on his place on the 2023 list, Bungar said: “The Empower lists are important to showcase and celebrate those who work hard to make their teams and workplaces a more inclusive and accommodating environment.
