Document management company specialising in digital transformation and storage, Restore, has appointed David Robinson as its new Head of Cyber Security, reinforcing its commitment to safeguarding customer data and business operations.
Robinson brings a wealth of experience from leading organisations including Capita, Morrisons Supermarkets, and most recently Bede Gaming. With a strong track record in building robust security frameworks and leading high-performing teams.
In his new role, Robinson will be responsible for developing a long-term cybersecurity strategy, managing relationships with third-party security providers, and leading audit and certification initiatives including ISO27001 and Cyber Essentials+. His leadership will also be key to embedding security best practices across all areas of the business and ensuring rapid and effective responses to any emerging threats.
Robinson will lead Restore’s IT Security function and team, reporting directly to Steve Beardsall, Group IT Director. His arrival, says Restore, signals a proactive step in future-proofing the organisation against evolving cybersecurity risks and ensuring strong, resilient service delivery for customers.
Beardsall said of the appointment: “Our investment in David’s appointment underlines our unwavering commitment to protecting our systems, infrastructure, and, most importantly, our customers’ trust. Having an expert of David’s calibre at the helm ensures that we remain not only secure but also a step ahead.”
Robinson said: “I’ve been impressed with the focus Restore puts on security for both the business and its customers. The combination of expertise and experience, and service lines available from Restore is truly impressive. They are investing in areas across the business and it is exciting to have joined the business at this stage of development. Particularly as new security challenges and issues continue to present themselves.”
