Corps Monitoring appoints business development manager

Paul Bidwell has been appointed to the role of Business Development Manager at social enterprise security specialist, Corps Monitoring.

Bidwell, who joined the team in April, is tasked with developing new business opportunities in security monitoring and supporting ongoing customers and those at the point of re-tender with bespoke and cost-effective solutions. Based in the South of England, he will help Corps Monitoring expand its client portfolio beyond its Scottish headquarters to access new markets across the UK.

Bringing a wealth of experience in the security industry to the position, Bidwell previously worked for Amazon Corporate Security, where he was Programme Manager and Senior Global Integrator. In these roles, he oversaw the implementation of global security solutions, conducted risk assessment applications for prototype devices, deployed key management software and hardware, and improved CCTV standardisation and deployment. This builds upon more than 20 years in managed services technology roles, during which he developed and led strategic business initiatives.

Commenting on his new role, Bidwell said: “I am delighted to join Corps Monitoring to expand our customer base. I was drawn to the company’s history, dedication to excellence, and its emphasis on supporting local communities, from its fundraising work and veteran support to its social enterprise status that prioritises its people. I want to be part of Corps’ journey and help deliver profits that feed directly back into our communities nationwide.”

Andrea Strong, MD of Corps Monitoring, added: “Paul’s values align perfectly with our organisation’s ethos. He has seamlessly integrated with the team at Corps Monitoring and has already begun close collaboration with key stakeholders. We’re excited about his potential to broaden our customer base and strengthen our position in the monitoring sector.”
