Michael Fildes-Peace, Managing Director for Circles, Sodexo’s premium workplace experience and employee engagement service, has been named on the INvolve global Outstanding Executives Role Model List. The list showcases leaders who are breaking down barriers at work and smashing the ceiling for LGBTQ+ employees within global business.
Separated into three categories the Outstanding Role Model lists, supported by YouTube, recognise executives, advocates and future leaders who are increasing representation and driving culture and belonging for others within the workplace. Role models featured in the Outstanding Role Model Lists do not work professionally in culture and belonging but represent the wide range of individuals who have made it their personal mission to make a difference.
Fildes-Peace joined Sodexo in 2014 and was appointed Managing Director for Circles UK & Ireland in 2018. In December 2024 he became Global Co-Chair of Sodexo’s global PRIDE employee network. Fildes-Peace champions a safe and welcoming workplace for all employees, leading by example to remove barriers and ensure everyone has a sense of belonging and the opportunity to flourish. Under his leadership, Circles UK has been recognised as a Great Place to Work® for the second consecutive year, reflecting the culture he continues to shape.
Fildes-Peace said: “I am honoured to have been named on this list. Sodexo believes that authenticity is key, and through year-round events, experiences, and initiatives, we encourage members of the LGBTQIA+ community and allies alike to connect, share their stories, and learn from one another. Together are building a culture where everyone feels empowered to bring their whole selves to work.”
Fildes-Peace has represented Sodexo at events, such as global IDAHOBIT, London and Paris Pride and LGBTQ+ leadership forums; he has also played a key role in driving the retention of Sodexo’s Advocate status in the global Workplace Pride external benchmark, the highest rank for organisations scoring over 90 per cent for a second year running.
Founder & CEO of INvolve, Suki Sandhu OBE, commented: “I’m so thrilled to be celebrating this global group of trailblazing Executives, Future Leaders and Advocates who are working to ensure LGBTQ+ individuals in the workplace can thrive. All the individuals featured in our Outstanding Role Model Lists supported by YouTube are championing inclusion and leveraging their expertise and knowledge to drive impactful initiatives and strategic change within their organisations. It’s vital that LGBTQ+ employees across global organisations can succeed and achieve career success, and these Role Models are essential drivers of change who are smashing barriers to progress. We could not effect change without them leading the way.”
The way we work has changed – yet, many organisations are still relying on rigid, one-size-fits-all tools to manage desks and meeting rooms, according to a new study from workplace management solutions provider, Matrix Booking.
Spreadsheets, calendars, and generic booking software may have worked once, but they’re struggling to keep pace with today’s flexible, hybrid workforce. The result? Wasted time, frustrated employees, and expensive underutilised space.
Matrix Booking’s new study, ‘One-size-fits-all booking systems don’t work for today’s workforce’, explores why current systems are falling short – and how organisations can reimagine workspace management to boost efficiency, employee experience, and cost savings.
