DMA Group takes hard FM deal with London Borough of Sutton

Property maintenance specialist, DMA Group, has been awarded a three-year contract with the London Borough of Sutton for the delivery of hard FM services across the Council’s operational and corporate estate.

Serving approximately 210,000 residents across south-west London, London Borough of Sutton is recognised as one of the capital’s greenest boroughs, with a strong focus on sustainability, community wellbeing and delivering high-quality public services. As a unitary authority, the Council manages a diverse estate of corporate offices, libraries, children’s centres, leisure sites and commercial properties.

The scope of works to be delivered by DMA Group includes:

  • Planned preventative maintenance and statutory compliance testing
  • Reactive and emergency mechanical, electrical and fabric repairs
  • 24/7 emergency response
  • Capital project works and lifecycle asset replacement
  • Asset validation and compliance reporting

Central to delivery will be DMA’s award-winning service management platform, BiO®, which automates maintenance scheduling, tracks reactive works in real time and provides full compliance visibility.

Valerie Miller, Chief Customer Officer at DMA Group, said: “We are incredibly proud to be partnering with the London Borough of Sutton. The Council has a clear and ambitious vision for its estate, and our role is to provide the operational reliability, compliance assurance and digital insight to support that ambition.

“Through our BiO® platform and experienced engineering teams, we look forward to maintaining safe, compliant and efficient buildings that support Sutton’s communities every day.”

Lydia Stanley, Head of Facilities Management at London Borough of Sutton, commented: “We are delighted to appoint DMA as our new hard services provider and look forward to a strong and collaborative partnership from 1st April, focused on maintaining compliant and efficient buildings.”

Safety at Work
FMJ and Watco Webinar: Meeting compliance in a new culture of accountability

From January 2026, the Building Safety Regulator (BSR) formally separated from the Health and Safety Executive (HSE). Created under the Building Safety Act 2022 in response to the Grenfell Tower tragedy, the BSR is designed to raise safety standards across the built environment and introduce a stronger culture of accountability, transparency, and proactive risk management.

This shift places facilities managers in a more strategic safety assurance role – far beyond routine maintenance.

FMJ and Watco are hosting a webinar on 22 April at 11:00am to explore what this new regulatory landscape means for FMs. To register for the webinar click here.
