Apleona UK expands Siemens Mobility contract

Apleona UK has expanded its relationship with Siemens Mobility through two new contract awards.

The facilities management specialist began working with Siemens Mobility in 2019 with the award of the Technical and Managing Agent contract to deliver services including mechanical & electrical, fabric maintenance, reactive works, grounds maintenance, winterisation and projects, across its UK portfolio. This has now been complemented by the award of a three-year contract to deliver cleaning and associated services.

Furthermore, Apleona will also deliver total facilities management services to Siemens Mobility’s brand new, state of the art, 67-acre train manufacturing plant and supply chain rail village located in Goole.

The contract, which commenced on 1 December 2022, will be a phased approach until the site is fully handed over in 2023. Services include, but are not limited to, mechanical and electrical engineering, security, cleaning, and catering. Apleona will also be looking to introduce innovative in-house digital solutions, drones and robotics.

Jacqui Paice, Apleona UK’s Managing Director commented: “These latest opportunities allow us to further strengthen our partnership with Siemens Mobility and are a direct result of building a strong relationship over the past three years. We have earned their trust and confidence in what we can deliver. Thanks to Regional Director, Rachel Broughton-Stronghill and her team whose hard work and collaborative approach have been critical to these contract achievements.”

James Thoden van Velzen, CEO of Apleona UK, said: “Apleona UK is going from strength to strength and this latest news is just the beginning of what is looking to be a fantastic year for us. I am delighted to continue this journey with Siemens.”

Finbarr Dowling, Siemens Mobility Head of UK Localisation, added: “As we make progress at our new rail manufacturing facility at Goole, Apleona UK will be providing us with the vital support functions to keep things running smoothly on site. We look forward to working with the team.”
