Artic Building Services has secured a contract with East London cultural hub, Rich Mix, to manage its mechanical and electrical (M&E) maintenance requirements.

Charity-run Rich Mix is a cultural hub located in the vibrant neighbourhood of Shoreditch, London, that welcomes communities of the world to create, enjoy, and share culture.

Under the contract terms, services will encompass the maintenance of site critical components and Hard FM Compliance services. Artic will assign a dedicated engineer responsible for regular visits to Rich Mix’s premises and to ensure that these services are delivered seamlessly, a team of experienced professionals, including a contract manager and contract administrator will be assembled to oversee all aspects of service delivery, providing effective implementation, guidance, and expertise.

The dedicated Artic team will utilise its cutting-edge Computer-Aided Facilities Management (CAFM) system, Concept, to streamline job assignments, generate worksheets, and produce reports. Rich Mix will also have direct access to these resources, ensuring transparent and efficient communication throughout the partnership.

Furthermore, Rich Mix will benefit from Artic’s 24/7/365 Help Desk facility, guaranteeing an immediate response to any service callouts and emergencies.

Metro Rod Drainage and Plumbing Survey

Planned, proactive maintenance is a keystone of every FM strategy. However, with current cost constraints, there are many demands on Facilities Managers’ maintenance budgets. When it comes to drainage and plumbing, however, the expense of repairing blockages or dealing with flooding could vastly exceed the cost of preventative maintenance.

Given your role as an FM Professional, we would love to hear your views, challenges & experiences, and opinions on drainage & plumbing within the workplace.

The survey will take just five minutes to complete and offers the chance to win an Amazon Gift Card Worth £100.

Take the survey here.
