Jaguar completes London’s first NABERS UK rating

Jaguar Building Services has completed London’s first ever NABERS UK Energy rating.

The assessment was conducted by Adam Nguyen, one of Jaguar’s two NABERS UK Licensed Assessors, for an existing client on a property in the city.

Launched in November 2020 and administered by BRE, the NABERS UK Energy for Offices Scheme enables building owners to rate, verify and disclose the energy ‘performance in-use’ of existing offices, based on actual metered consumption, creating much needed market transparency and an investment grade rating that can be used to drive improvements in energy efficiency.

Steve Jackaman, Operations Director at Jaguar said: “We’re very proud to be the first business to complete a NABERS UK Energy for Offices assessment to a London property. Congratulations to Adam on this significant achievement, let’s hope it’s the first of many!”

Ruby Smith, Partnerships Account Manager at BRE, commented: “We congratulate Adam on passing his supervision and completing his first NABERS UK Rating. As the first project to receive a rating in London, we appreciate the challenges of working on a new rating scheme in the market which Adam handled with ease, and recognise this as a landmark project for both Jaguar Building Services and their client.”

Adam Nguyen, Jaguar’s Energy Manager added: “The built environment is a significant contributor to climate change, and I believe NABERS ratings can provide a foundation for a robust sustainability strategy. I look forward to carrying out further ratings in the future and helping our customers work towards achieving their carbon net zero targets.”

Creating a positive visitor experience in a Hybrid world of work

While some personnel are finally returning to the office – the great majority of organisations (up to 83 per cent) anticipate a hybrid mix of on-premises and working from home to continue for the foreseeable future.

This means that when it comes to providing access to the workplace, where once it was simply enough to maintain a welcoming reception for visitors, organisations today must also keep a close eye on access permissions in real-time to keep buildings safe and secure while ensuring they comply with compliance.

Pitney Bowes Smart Access Management in association with FMJ has produced a new White Paper which explains how to create a welcoming, actively managed environment for authorised people.

It explains how new Smart Access Management™ (SAM) delivers a complete, real-time and data-driven view of all your people, visitors and contractors, to help give you greater control and visibility.
