MTS Health extends contract with Lloyds Pharmacy Clinical Homecare

Sodexo business, MTS Health, has secured a three-year contract extension with Lloyds Pharmacy Clinical Homecare.

MTS Health, a leading provider of medical equipment asset management, has supplied, maintained, and serviced the medical equipment used by Lloyds Pharmacy Clinical Homecare since the beginning of 2020. The extension to the contract cements the service partnership between the two organisations and will provide continuity for investment in the training and development of the six staff members who work exclusively on the contract.

Lloyds Pharmacy Clinical Homecare is one of the UK’s most experienced providers of clinical homecare and has been helping patients since 1975. More than 100,000 patients receive care from them in the comfort of their homes, at work, or in the community, ranging from straightforward delivery of medication to specialist nursing and medical equipment for complex conditions.

Medical equipment is a vital part of patient care. MTS provides planned and remedial maintenance and repair services from its contract base in Harlow, Essex, in collaboration with the Procurement and Equipment Management teams. The Harlow Service Centre offers an equipment library that Lloyds Pharmacy Clinical Homecare uses to meet patient needs and is logistically well positioned to deliver an excellent service.

The service also provides assurance that more than 5,000 medical devices used by patients in their home environment are safe and serviceable and meet all standards as set out in the MHRA guidance.

Caroline Finlay, Chief Operating Officer for MTS Health, said: “We are delighted that the existing contract has been extended, demonstrating that the service provided by the team working from the Harlow Service Centre delivers an exceptionally valued service. The longevity of this contract allows us to invest in our team and provide a commitment to Lloyds Pharmacy Clinical Homecare as a much-valued client.”

Chris Georgiou MCIPS, Head of Procurement & Supply at Lloyds Pharmacy Clinical Homecare, added: The management and accurate maintenance of our medical equipment is of vital importance to our service delivery and patients, in MTS we have found a professional and proactive partner. We are delighted to be extending this contract and continuing our excellent working relationship.”

In April 2021, Sodexo acquired MTS Health Limited to expand its business in the healthcare sector. The acquisition has enabled Sodexo to build on existing business in the USA and Asia Pacific regions and MTS Health’s wealth of technical knowledge and operational experience to enhance services for clients in the UK and Ireland.
