NG Bailey launches low carbon business

Independent engineering and services business, NG Bailey, has launched a new business unit focused on unlocking the long-term value of lower carbon buildings, helping organisations turn decarbonisation ambition into practical, investable, and measurable action.

NG Bailey Low Carbon brings together the Group’s data-led insight, engineering expertise and operational capability across the full building lifecycle. From strategy and technical advisory, including robust business cases with financing solutions, through delivery and ongoing optimisation, NG Bailey says the business will help customers navigate the practical and commercial realities of energy transition and low carbon solutions.

The launch responds to growing demands on organisations to focus on low carbon outcomes and better building performance, due to tightening regulation, rising energy costs and increasing sustainability expectations from investors and occupiers.

The team has already delivered low carbon projects both in new developments such as the award-winning Wellington Place in Leeds and retrofitted older buildings such as Manchester University Booth Street East and 45 Mortimer Street in London.

NG Bailey Low Carbon is structured around three core stages:

• Advise – helping clients understand their current position, building practical roadmaps and identifying commercially viable investment strategies.
• Deliver – bringing together NG Bailey’s capability as principal contractor and MEP designer, with in-house technical design, construction, installation and commissioning expertise.
• Optimise – supporting buildings once they are operational, using real-time data, technical maintenance and performance monitoring to drive measurable savings and long-term value.
