Procure Plus marks 20 years of impact with over £2.67bn in procurement spent and £347m in savings for housing providers

The Manchester-based not-for-profit company specialising in social housing procurement is marking two decades of supporting housing providers to deliver better value, quality and social impact across England and Wales.

Founded in 2006 as GM Procure, Procure Plus was created to improve housing maintenance through smarter collective procurement and to return the value generated directly back to communities.

Since launching, Procure Plus has facilitated more than £2.67 billion in procurement spend, delivering average savings of 13 per cent across the board for its clients – a total of £347.93 million.

The organisation now facilitates over £250 million in transactions every year, supporting the delivery of goods and services for repairs and maintenance, while helping housing providers secure strong value for money without compromising on quality.

From the start, Procure Plus has been committed to improving outcomes for local communities by helping residents towards and into employment through opportunities such as apprenticeships and training programmes.

Its charitable subsidiary, Re:vision, has helped people build the skills and confidence needed to overcome barriers to employment. To date, a total of 7,780 people have been supported into employment.

Mike Brogan, Chief Executive of Procure Plus, said: “When we founded Procure Plus 20 years ago, our ambition was to show that procurement could deliver both commercial and social value at the same time. Reaching this milestone is a proud moment for everyone involved, and a testament to the trust of our clients, suppliers and partners.

“We are incredibly proud of the significant savings we have delivered and the thousands of people we have supported into work. As we look ahead, we will continue to build on that impact, working with our partners to maximise every pound spent and create even more opportunities across England and Wales.”
