Reconomy brand Combineering appoints new COO

Henrik Mørch has been appointed Chief Operating Officer at Reconomy brand Combineering, a Denmark-based green tech company focused on promoting the circular economy through its large-scale, highly specialised waste recycling solutions which have been developed to maximise recycling rates, reduce waste and reduce CO2 emissions.

Mørch joins the business with a wealth of experience in the fields of circular waste management, chemical processes, industrial production, and logistics. In his new role, he will work with Combineering’s highly experienced leadership team to help more businesses transform huge amounts of waste into an infinite resource.

Combineering, which was acquired by Reconomy in February 2023, has established long-term contracts with multiple suppliers and receivers, generating recurring revenue for every ton of waste recycled. Combineering also offers logistics management, notification services and legal compliance solutions.

Prior to joining Combineering, Mørch held the role of Chief Operating Officer at livestock specialists Spanvall, where he played a pivotal role in stabilising operations, implementing IT processes, developing strategies for sustainability, and laying the foundation for ISO certification.

Prior to Spanvall, Mørch has held board leadership positions in a variety of sustainable logistics organisations, and most notably held senior management roles at reputable Nordic-based Blue Water Shipping and DSV – Global Transport and Logistics.

Speaking about his appointment, Mørch said: “There is endless potential totransform waste into infinite, useful materials – indeed it is critical to the preservation of our environments and finite resources. I am excited to join Combineering as I share its passion for sustainability and the circular economy and look forward to supporting the next phase of its growth journey in partnership with Reconomy.”

Lars Vedel Jørgensen, founding Director of Reconomy brand Combineering, said: “As we continue to innovate and expand our services, Henrik will provide invaluable support in our growth trajectory and maximise our ability to support international customers with their sustainability needs.”

Mike Benton, Head of Reconomy’s Recycle loop, added: “Henrik will bring vast industry experience to Combineering’s operations along with a passion for sustainability that aligns with our values.”
