Adaston wins £1.5m fire safety contract in the City of London

Passive fire protection specialist Adaston has landed a £1.5 million contract to deliver fire safety works at one of the City of London’s most prominent commercial office developments.

The 18-month project, for real estate services company Savills, will see Harrogate-based Adaston deliver extensive fire-stopping works alongside targeted fire door upgrades throughout the 21-storey office building, which spans more than 600,000 sq ft.

All works are being carried out during night shifts to minimise disruption to occupiers in the fully operational building.

Commenting on the new contract award, Paul Ward, Acting Managing Director of Adaston said: “Securing a project of this scale at a flagship commercial development like this is a significant milestone for the business.

“It’s a fantastic start to our financial year and is a testament to the ongoing confidence that clients have in Adaston to deliver technically complex passive fire-protection projects in occupied, high-profile buildings.

“Winning this contract demonstrates both our commercial competitiveness and our ability to deliver the quality, compliance and safety standards expected on prestigious city-centre schemes.”

Strengthening Adaston’s growing presence in London’s high-value commercial retrofit market, the contract forms part of a strong start to Adaston’s FY27 pipeline, with the business already securing or reaching imminent award status on more than 70 per cent of its target revenue for the year.

The award also builds on Adaston’s continued momentum following its recently announced five-year growth strategy, which includes significant investment in senior recruitment and operational expansion to support a growing national portfolio.
