Atlas stays on at Zoological Society of London

Atlas has been reappointed to deliver cleaning services by the Zoological Society of London (ZSL), an international conservation charity driven by science, working to restore wildlife in the UK and around the world.

The five-year contract was awarded following a competitive tender process and includes an extensive seven-day cleaning service at London and Whipsnade Zoos, as well as hospitality events, retail, community education centres and offices.

Atlas’ partnership commenced in 2016 with the cleaning contract at London Zoo.

Sara Muller, Head of Procurement ZSL said of the contract award: “Everything we do at ZSL has animal welfare and protection as the highest priority. Our partnership with Atlas continues to evolve, as their knowledge and experience facilitate service improvements and innovations which extend their care and attention to our animals, visitors and colleagues.”

Chris Wisely, Group Managing Director of Atlas, commented: “This prestigious contract continues our strong relationship with ZSL. We continue to enhance the high-quality visitor and employee experience through investment in new equipment and processes that boost productivity, add value, deliver sustainability improvements and ensure the retention of our loyal employees.”

Metro Rod Drainage and Plumbing Survey

Planned, proactive maintenance is a keystone of every FM strategy. However, with current cost constraints, there are many demands on Facilities Managers’ maintenance budgets. When it comes to drainage and plumbing, however, the expense of repairing blockages or dealing with flooding could vastly exceed the cost of preventative maintenance.

Given your role as an FM Professional, we would love to hear your views, challenges & experiences, and opinions on drainage & plumbing within the workplace.

The survey will take just five minutes to complete and offers the chance to win an Amazon Gift Card Worth £100.
