National provider of essential property compliance and maintenance services, Axis CLC, has acquired Fieldway Group Limited, a provider of specialist fire safety and compliance services to the public sector.
Founded in 1999, Fieldway has a strong track record of growth, deep technical expertise and well-established relationships across the social housing, healthcare and education sectors and holds preferred supplier status on multiple national and regional fire safety procurement frameworks.
The acquisition complements and strengthens Axis CLC’s existing service offering by adding Fieldway’s strong active fire and fire risk assessment capabilities, alongside passive fire expertise. It also expands Axis CLC’s position in North West England, where Fieldway is a regional market leader.
Fieldway’s experienced management team, led by Managing Director Tony Carden, will continue to run the business and will play a key role in driving future growth. The business will continue to operate under its existing brand, serving its clients with the same focus on quality, compliance, and safety.
The acquisition is Axis CLC’s second bolt-on acquisition following the formation of the Group in 2024 and reflects the company’s strategy of building a leading national specialist property compliance and maintenance services platform.
Richard Morris, CEO of Axis CLC, said: “We believe the acquisition of Fieldway, with its focus on fire safety and compliance in social housing, fits perfectly with our strategy, and that bringing the two businesses together will enhance our offering to all clients.
“This is another significant step in delivering our vision to be the trusted partner of choice in delivering essential maintenance and compliance solutions to critical property assets where regulation drives client demand.
“We look forward to working closely with Fieldway’s management and staff in continuing to build on their impressive track record of growth and reputation for excellent service quality.”
Tony Carden, Managing Director of Fieldway, said: “Joining Axis CLC is an exciting next step for Fieldway. We have built a successful business by focusing on technical expertise, customer service and high standards of delivery. Axis CLC shares those values and brings the scale, resources and broader customer relationships to support our next phase of growth.
“Our clients will continue to be served by the same Fieldway team, with the same commitment to quality, safety, compliance and delivery.”
