BaxterStorey on the menu at Wellcome Genome Campus

Independent hospitality food service provider, BaxterStorey, has won a four-year contract with the Wellcome Genome Campus, a scientific research campus located in Hinxton, Cambridgeshire.

Whilst supporting the Campus’ commitment to sustainability, the new contract will see a transformation to the on-site restaurant, Murray’s, including a co-working lounge, build-your-own breakfast station and all-day grazing style menus. A wellbeing counter has also been introduced to create delicious and nutritious plant-based dishes made from local, seasonal ingredients.

Alongside Murray’s, BaxterStorey will provide catering for the Campus’ three cafes, Pebbles, Link Cafe and DiNA, which will host artisan coffee bars and its Society grab and go range, including clean eating boxes and energiser pots. A range of authentic pop-ups will be also hosted across the campus through its food experiences agency FUEL to keep the food offer both fresh and engaging for customers.

To minimise food waste and reduce environmental impact, BaxterStorey has introduced ‘Wonky Wednesdays’, where chefs will create dishes from surplus ingredients.

BaxterStorey’s Regional Managing Director, Peter Kent, commented: “The Wellcome Genome Campus joins our growing list of clients in Cambridge. We’re excited to bring our expertise and creativity in nutrition to our hospitality offer. We are passionate about using hospitality to improve the wellbeing of workforces and we’re looking forward to providing this to customers at the Genome Campus.”
