Director of projects appointment at Arcus FM

Karl Lavery has been appointed as Director of Projects at Arcus FM.

The appointment follows the recent acquisition of the Trios Group. Since the takeover in August 2023, Arcus FM has been working hard behind the scenes to explore how it can best serve its customers and people throughout the integration. This includes revitalising its projects division, Arcus Projects.

Lavery takes on the role as Director of Projects, transitioning from his role as Projects and Commercial Director at the Trios Group. With over 20 years of experience in leading operations, projects, and business development across construction, engineering, and commercial real estate, he brings a wealth of expertise to the role as the business continues on its growth trajectory.

The integration of Arcus and Trios projects teams marks a significant milestone, bringing together a copious amount of experience and a shared commitment to excellence.

In his new role, Lavery will be leading strategic initiatives to ensure continued growth, customer satisfaction, and sustainability in the FM industry.

Commenting on his appointment, Lavery said:

“Individually, the Arcus and Trios project teams were already doing great things, and by integrating the strengths of both teams we’ve significantly bolstered our capabilities, cementing our dedication to continuous improvement and customer satisfaction.

“It has been an exciting few months working to support the integration and getting to know who Arcus is; a company that puts its people and customers first.

“I’m looking forward to expanding upon the work we’ve been doing, enhancing our customers’ experience, and offering a truly national solution.”

Stephen Saunders, Chief Operating Officer at Arcus FM commented:

“We are thrilled to be welcoming Karl Lavery as our new Project Director and we’re excited for what the future holds for our Projects business.

“His extensive experience and proven track record in leading operations and projects will be invaluable as we continue to grow and enhance our offering.

“Karl has been instrumental during the integration process in providing his support and expertise, and with the integration of the Arcus and Trios project teams, we are poised to deliver even greater value and excellence to our customers.”

Navigating FM efforts to sustainability

As environmental protection demands unified action, transparency, and heightened awareness, Biological Preparations has launched an initiative to catalyse sustainability efforts within the FM sector.

FM businesses face unique challenges and heightened expectations of eco-initiatives from their clients. Yet, behind the scenes in FM businesses, many environmental initiatives, rollouts and even planning, are not broadcasted and transparent.

Have your say: Sustainability Trends in FM

The UK biotech company’s five-minute, anonymous FM-focused survey, offers FM professionals of all hierarchies with a platform to voice their perspectives and share their experiences. The results from this survey will then be analysed and presented as an industry-specific report, which aims to guide FM businesses helping them benchmark trends, gain clarity on industry challenges, and map out goals and metrics towards sustainability.
